Fair Go Wagering Requirements Explained

Fair Go wagering requirements decide whether a bonus is worth having. The casino's terms set two defaults: 30x on your deposit plus the bonus for deposit offers, and 60x for free bonuses, unless a promotion says otherwise. This guide shows how to read them, how to work them out for any Fair Go code and where players slip up.

What a wagering requirement is

A wagering requirement, also called playthrough or rollover, is the amount you must bet before bonus money, and anything won with it, can be withdrawn. It's written as a multiple. At 30x, every dollar in the wagering base has to be bet 30 times over. Wins and losses both count: ten $1 spins are $10 wagered, whatever the reels do.

The requirement isn't a fee. It's a volume of betting, and the cost comes from the house edge on all that volume. That's why the multiple and the base matter more than the size of the headline bonus.

Fair Go's two defaults, and the phrase that changes them

Fair Go's terms set 30x for deposit bonuses and 60x for free ones, both "unless otherwise stated". That phrase means any promotion can set its own figure, higher or lower. When we checked the promotions page on 9 October 2026, none of the coded deposit offers listed a figure of its own, so the 30x default applies to WELCOME, BUSHMAGIC, CASTLE, GOTM1026, 100-NEOS and KOALAMO until a listing says otherwise. BUBBLE15 is the exception with its own line: 60x on bonus winnings, on Fair Go's no-deposit page.

The base is the other half. For deposit bonuses it's your deposit plus the bonus, not the bonus alone. That doubles the betting compared with a bonus-only rule at the same multiple, and it's the detail most players miss.

How to work out wagering for any Fair Go code

  1. Bonus: deposit × match percentage, stopped at any cap.
  2. Base: deposit + bonus.
  3. Betting required: base × the multiple.
  4. Average cost: betting required × the house edge (100% minus the RTP).

For free spins, start from what the spins won: winnings × 60x is the betting, assuming the multiple applies to spin winnings, which is the usual approach. Fair Go's terms don't spell out the base for spins, so ask live chat if it matters to you. The wagering calculator runs all four steps for you.

Fair Go wagering requirements for every live code

Wagering at Fair Go's 30x default on deposit + bonus, average cost at 96% RTP

WELCOME$100$100$200$6,000$240
WELCOME$200$200$400$12,000$480
BUSHMAGIC$60$120$180$5,400$216
CASTLE$40$60$100$3,000$120
GOTM1026$45$67.50$112.50$3,375$135
100-NEOS$20$20$40$1,200$48
BUBBLE15None$20 of spin wins$20$1,200$48

Deposits are each code's published minimum, except WELCOME, which has none listed, so we show a $100 claim and a full $200 claim. BUSHMAGIC lists no cap on its 200% match. BUSHMAGIC, CASTLE and GOTM1026 also come with free spins whose own wagering isn't stated, so the real bill on those codes is higher than the table shows. BUBBLE15's 60x on bonus winnings comes from Fair Go's no-deposit page.

The pattern is plain: the bigger the match, the bigger the base, and the base is what the multiple works on. KOALAMO and FUNMON are missing because their bonus sizes aren't published.

Six details that trip players up

  1. The max bet

$10 per bet while you're wagering, and Fair Go says bigger bets can void the winnings. Our max bet rule guide covers the traps.

  2. Game weighting

Casinos often count some games at less than their full stake. Fair Go's weightings aren't in our register, so check the terms before you wager on table games or video poker.

  3. Time limits

Whether a bonus expires before you finish isn't in our register either. Ask when you claim.

  4. Several claims, several bills

WELCOME works 5 times, and each claim brings its own playthrough.

  5. Withdrawing early

Ask support what happens to the bonus before you request a withdrawal halfway through the wagering.

  6. The cap on free-money wins

Winnings from free offers stop at $180 unless stated otherwise, however much you clear. See our max cash-out guide.

Is a wagering requirement ever worth it?

Sometimes. If you planned a long session anyway, a bonus stretches it, and results swing enough that some players finish with a withdrawable balance. What wagering never does is turn a bonus into a gift. At 30x on deposit plus bonus and a 96% return, the average cost of clearing a full WELCOME claim is $480, against a bonus of $200.

If you'd rather keep your money free to withdraw, play without a bonus and lean on Fair Go's cashback instead. The bonus vs cashback calculator compares the two routes for your deposit.
