How Fair Go casino cashback works
The idea is simple. You deposit without redeeming a bonus, so your money stays your own with no bonus playthrough attached. If the session goes well, you can withdraw when you like. If the balance runs dry, Fair Go says you can ask support for part of that deposit back: 25% on weekdays and 30% on Saturday and Sunday.
- Deposit at least $10 and leave the coupon field empty.
- Play as normal. With no bonus on the deposit, there's no wagering to clear before a withdrawal.
- If the deposit busts, open live chat and ask for the cashback on that deposit.
- Check the credit lands, and ask whether it carries any playthrough before you treat it as cash.
Fair Go calls the weekday version "instant", which suggests the credit arrives during the chat rather than at the end of the week. The weekend listing doesn't describe the claim process at all, so expect the same route: ask support.
What "busted" and "without a bonus" mean
Two phrases in the listing do all the work.
Busted
In casino talk, a busted deposit is one you've played down to nothing, or so close to nothing that you can't place another bet. Fair Go's listing doesn't define a threshold. If you're left with a few cents, ask support whether that counts before you walk away. A deposit that ends in a withdrawal isn't busted by any reading, so you can't bank a win and still claim on the same money.
Without a bonus
Any coupon on the deposit takes it out of the cashback. That covers WELCOME, KOALAMO, BUSHMAGIC, 100-NEOS and every other code. Decide before you open the cashier: once a bonus is attached, its wagering (30x on deposit plus bonus by default) replaces the safety net.
Each deposit on its own
The listings talk about busted deposits, so each qualifying deposit appears to be judged separately. The promotions page doesn't mention a cap on how many deposits or how much cashback you can claim.
Worked examples: what the cashback pays
| Deposit | Weekday cashback (25%) | Weekday real loss | Weekend cashback (30%) | Weekend real loss |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $10 | $2.50 | $7.50 | $3 | $7 |
| $25 | $6.25 | $18.75 | $7.50 | $17.50 |
| $100 | $25 | $75 | $30 | $70 |
| $250 | $62.50 | $187.50 | $75 | $175 |
Read the "real loss" columns as the true price of a bad session. A $100 deposit that busts on a Tuesday costs you $75; the same bust on a Saturday costs $70. The cashback doesn't change how the games pay. It just raises the floor under a losing session. For your own numbers, including a week with several deposits, use the Fair Go cashback calculator.
Weekday or weekend: which rate applies?
Fair Go lists the 30% rate for Saturday and Sunday. What it doesn't say is which moment counts: the deposit, the bust or the request. The cleanest way to avoid an argument is to keep all three on the same weekend day. Deposit on Saturday, play on Saturday and, if it busts, message support on Saturday.
The listing names no time zone either, so on a late Sunday session, ask before midnight. Nothing suggests the two offers stack. Read them as alternatives: 30% at the weekend, 25% the rest of the week.
Cashback or a deposit bonus?
This is the real decision, because Fair Go makes you choose. Take a $100 deposit:
- With WELCOME: you start with $200, but you need $6,000 of bets before any of it can be withdrawn, and at our cautious 96% return to player that much betting costs about $240 on average. If it busts, you lose the $100 with nothing back.
- Without a bonus: you start with $100, you can withdraw at any time, and if it busts you get $25 back ($30 at the weekend).
The bonus suits long sessions from players who'd bet that much anyway. Cashback suits short sessions, smaller budgets and anyone who might want to cash out a win early. The bonus vs cashback calculator runs this comparison for your own deposit, and our WELCOME bonus guide covers the other side in full.
The catches worth knowing
- Wagering on the refund isn't stated. Ask before you treat cashback as withdrawable. If it does carry a playthrough, Fair Go's $10 limit would apply while you clear it, as our max bet rule guide explains.
- It only pays when you lose. Cashback is no reason to deposit more. Getting 25% of a bust back still leaves you 75% down.
- The minimum is real. Deposits under $10 don't qualify. Lightning Bitcoin deposits start at $5 on Fair Go's banking page, below the cashback line.
- Country rules. Fair Go's terms say: Bonuses not available to players from Brazil, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, UK and others listed. Ask whether cashback counts as a bonus where you live.
