How the Fair Go cashback calculator works
Fair Go's cashback is a percentage of a busted deposit, so the sums are short:
- Cashback if it busts: your deposit × 25% on weekdays, or × 30% on Saturday and Sunday.
- Real cost of a bust: your deposit minus the cashback. This is what a losing session actually takes from your pocket.
- Weekly totals: both figures multiplied by the number of busted deposits you enter.
Tick the bonus box and the cashback drops to zero, because both offers only cover deposits made without a bonus. Enter less than $10 and it drops to zero too. Both rules come straight from Fair Go's listings: 25% instant cashback on busted deposits made without a bonus, via support, and 30% cashback Sat/Sun on busted deposits made without a bonus.
Worked examples
| Deposit | Weekday cashback (25%) | Real cost | Weekend cashback (30%) | Real cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $20 | $5 | $15 | $6 | $14 |
| $50 | $12.50 | $37.50 | $15 | $35 |
| $200 | $50 | $150 | $60 | $140 |
| $500 | $125 | $375 | $150 | $350 |
Over a week, the gap between the two rates grows. Three busted $100 deposits on weekdays return $75 and cost you $225; the same three at the weekend return $90 and cost $210. Neither turns a losing week into a winning one.
What counts as a qualifying deposit
Three conditions, all from Fair Go's listings:
- At least $10. Fair Go's banking page lets you deposit $5 by Lightning Bitcoin, but a deposit that small sits under the cashback line.
- No bonus. Redeem WELCOME, KOALAMO or any other code and that deposit is out.
- Busted. The balance from that deposit has run out. A deposit you withdrew from doesn't count.
The full rules, including how to claim through support, are on our Fair Go cashback page.
Cashback and your budget
The most useful number here is the real cost. If your weekly budget is $100, the cashback means a bad week costs you $75 on weekdays, not $100. That's worth knowing. What it shouldn't do is tempt you to deposit more on the theory that you'll get some back: a bigger deposit means a bigger real cost, every time.
If you're weighing cashback against a bonus, the bonus vs cashback calculator puts the two routes side by side, and the wagering calculator prices any bonus on its own. If a bad week is happening more often than not, our responsible gambling page has tools that help.
What the calculator can't know
It assumes Fair Go pays the listed percentage on the full deposit, which is how the listings read. It can't know whether the cashback carries a playthrough (Fair Go doesn't say), whether a deposit with a few cents left counts as busted, or how support treats several deposits on the same day. Ask live chat when you claim, and treat the result as a guide rather than a promise.
